The farm has developed a small demonstration area and centre for supporting outreach and engagement with the broader community, called Cuan Beo.
In the Cuan Beo area, we have a small wood cabin for events with off-grid solar power, a polytunnel with space for educational activities and a cob wheel-chair accessible compost toilet and beautiful demonstration gardens.
Our community outreach focuses on the role of food and nature in a just transition, with themes of climate and food, regenerative growing, community supported agriculture, local food systems, high-nature-value farming, biodiversity, seed saving and celebrating nature and seasons.
We host events and activities at Cuan Beo, such as seasonal celebrations marking Imbolc, Bealtaine, Lughnasa and Samhain, farm walks, child-and-family-oriented craft events, and biodiversity week events, in collaboration with the eco-village.
