Open Market Coordinator

Part time service contract – initially from February to August 2021 with the possibility of extension.
Cloughjordan Community Farm is establishing the Cloughjordan Open Food Hub to provide sustainable
routes to market for local producers through a digital marketplace.
This dynamic role of Open Market Coordinator is perfect for someone with administration and
communication skills, competencies in digital technologies and a passion for cooperative approaches to
local food.

Job responsibilities:
The role involves working with the Open Food Hub co-ordinator to identify producers and assist them in
getting onto the OFN Ireland digital platform, and to set up and manage the distribution point for a
regional digital farmers market.
Required experience and competencies:
● Shop, market or entrepreneurial experience
● Strong spreadsheet and database skills
● Comfortable using digital technologies
● Competency in English language
● Good communication skills
● The ability to work within a diverse team
● Enthusiasm for developing the Open Food Hub
● Interest in cooperatives, community/ local economy development
Terms of employment
● 12 hours a week
● Period of contract: 6 months with the intention of renewal
● Location: WeCreate, Cloughjordan, Tipperary, Ireland
● Remuneration: Rate to be discussed
